Clarity
To be more productive in your personal and professional life you need clarity of mind by changing habits, behaviours and mindsets. As simple as changing eating habits and a good night sleep will give you the high energy levels you need for resilience.
DR LIBBY WEAVER says it is known in psychology that dysfunctional behavior is a cause from unmet emotional needs in our lives. These unmet needs can happen when we are as young as small children resulting in stealing, drugs, eating disorders, lying binge drinking, shutting down emotionally, feeling victimized and acting out in a desperate attempt to fill this unmet emotional need.
So, by the time we grow up to be adults we have mastered the art of covering up a lot of these unmet needs going from one unsuccessful experience to another trying to find happiness and wondering why we never do. We go around blaming everyone and everything else, when it’s an emotional need deep inside that requires healing so we can then move to living a life of happiness. Living from a place of within not from a place of without.
Over time these unmet needs are the causes of our repeated habits and behaviours and have become so etched into our everyday lifestyle we don’t know how to live any differently. Until one day, comes a scare to wake us up like someone has turned the lights on. This life changing moment could be a health scare, a relationship break-up, children leaving home or a terminal prognosis of someone close. It doesn’t matter what triggers this moment other than the reality to be grateful it has, so now, you can decide to change how you’ve been doing things.
At this point of acknowledgment, where and why it started, we discover the awareness that supports the belief and conviction to do something about it. From this place, the healing process begins and only then can we plan a direction of how we change course, focus on the new behaviours and trust the process.
We’re very quick to learn how to implement all the training skills in our career with all the seminars we’ve attended but first we need to deal with what’s going on inside so we can sustain the longevity of hanging in there. We tend to work from the outside in, when we need to be working from the inside out.
It is a universal law when you work on the inside first the outside works itself out organically and we attract all we need in our lives with very little effort.
